Best Cookie Recipe Ever

I’m taking a break from the family history to share my favorite recipe with you.  I take these places all the time, and everyone loves them.  The best part – they are so easy to make.  I have to credit my mother-in-law with this one.  She passed it on to me.

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
1 box white cake mix (I like Betty Crocker best.  I’ve used Pillsbury too.)
2 tablespoons water
½ cup oil
2 eggs
1 bag chocolate chips  (I prefer milk chocolate over semi-sweet.)

Directions:  Mix ingredients.  Spread evenly onto a medium-sized cookie sheet.  (You can use a larger size, but they’ll be thinner.)  Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.  After they cool, cut into squares and serve.

This recipe is so versatile.  You can experiment with different flavors of cake mix and different chocolate chip substitutes (like M&M’s, peanut butter chips, nuts, etc.).  I have a friend that makes them with gluten-free cake mixes.  Unless you overcook them, they are nice and soft too.

Enjoy!

P.S.  I would love to know who’s reading.  Leave me a comment sometime, or leave your favorite recipe in the comments for this post.  J

  1. just got caught up ... you're writing up a storm, friend! BUT, there is a lot to write ... I'm praising God that He provided you with the means (brains and perseverance among other good stuff) to tackle these issues. I love how you've found the things that work and love the miracle the story is unfolding ... many blessings to you all in 2011.
